You never left a conversation with Carl without a smile on your face. Even this last year, when he wasn't so mobile, the red hand waving from the window as we walked by would brighten my night. His presence will be deeply missed but your memories live on. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sending our sincerest condolences with the passing of Carl. You could drop in any time for a chat - always lots of stories and a good cup of coffee. He would never turn down an apple fritter. He loved to talk about his horses which often included his grandaughter. Rest in peace Carl.

Sending condolences to June and to all those who loved him. We will miss our visits with Carl but will never forget them. You could drop by Carl and June's house anytime and you were always welcomed in for a coffee and a chat. He loved to tell stories and he had a few! Ron enjoyed helping Carl with the horses and they are times, I'm sure, he will never forget.
We will miss you Carl.

June, Kevin, Mark and Family, Heartfelt condolences to your family. Carl was a generous kind, happy person. He will never be forgotten by anyone who ever met him. I use to love walking up to visit when we were at the cottage and he would let me go in the stables with his beautiful horses while he chatted with my Dad. He was so trusting on a few occasions he let us rip around Gilgrist Bay and Dummer lake Road on one of his 4 wheelers., He enjoyed seeing people enjoy themselves that is just the kind of person I remember him to be. I hope your family finds comfort with these memories during this difficult time.

June and family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and friend. I have many fond memories of the bus trip that John and I took to Nashville in the 1970's. Carl was always a friendly and happy person. I fondly remember Carl coming into Town's Store when I worked there.
Our daughter won the last sleigh ride that Carl and June donated to a benefit out in Warsaw during the 1990's. We took the grandchildren with us and it was so much fun. To this day the grandchildren have fond memories of that wonderful day. It was very special to them because it was the one and only sleigh ride that they ever took.
The last time that John and I saw Carl, was when John was in the hospital getting his treatment, and Carl was also getting his treatment too. This was about a year ago.

Carl, you will be missed by all! I will especially miss our porch visits and your stories and quick sense of humour. When we moved to White Lake in 2019 and it was immediately apparent that I get to know you as you had advice and knowledge of the history of this lake and how we cottagers and now full time residents are able to enjoy this lake. June was always there to add to your shenanigans if correction was needed.
For our first Christmas here, my family from Australia, Kelowna and Peterborough got the pleasure of a wagon ride with nice warm blankets and hot chocolate served up by June. It’s a memory my family will always cherish.
You left this earth in peace with June by your side and your loving family. Watch over us White Lakers as we continue to enjoy your lake.
