Beautiful Verna!! The time we spent were precious and stored well into my good memories box. From going to stuff ourselves at jacks fish and chips for the senior meal, giving us desert too lol. Now I think about it there where phases,Wendy’s then subway but most of all enjoying your pies in dads backyard. We will all miss you dearly. My dad is healing from a deep wound in his heart. He adored you and so did we. My condolences to Sheri, family, friends and furry companions. Love lindy. Prayers for healing energy.

Condolences to all Verna's family. I never had a sister, but when her mother Etta married my dad Ernie Flint, she always called me her little sister. Made my dad welcome and loved until his passing. Never saw her without that beautiful smile, and a hug. A special lady, always loving and accepting of others. You will miss her, but Heaven waits for that great reunion. They say time heals, but remember all the special times and memories she gave to each one of you.

To the Lutes Family: In 1974, I was just 15, and my mom worked for Verna. Often there were severe snow storms, where staff had difficulty getting to work. One storm was so severe, my mother and Verna ended up working alone. My mom Ella McGitchie got Verna's permission to allow me to come there and assisted in the kitchen doing dishes etc. which led to a job until the end of grade 12. Verna became a mentor who made a impact on my life which led to further education, and to certification first as a Nurses Aid, then on to a career in Clinical Diatetics for over 30 years, where I just retired from Horizon Health Network ( Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospial, Fredericton, N.B. where I have lived from 1977 to present. Verna allowed me to work in all areas of the N.Home. She provided a great work and learning enviirement for me to excel in life. I will forever be grateful to this amazing woman and friend.
Rest in Peace Verna.

Our condolences to the Lutes families. Verna was a sweet and kind woman. She welcomed us with open arms into the community over 23 years ago and was always an encouragement. Over the years, Verna would sneak ahead of us to try and cover breakfast at the the Ranchman and many times bless others in secret. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and would radiantly shine with humility and pride of their accomplishments. Verna is a treasure that will be missed by the community and our NPC family.

To the Lutes Family my deepest sympathy Verna was a wonderful lady and neighbor I remember babysitting Kimmy for Verna and John and when i was down home helping when mom and dad were sick and in hospital i always went for coffee at Gramma Flos and Verna was there and sit and talk with her about the great memories of Norwood and being neighbors she will be missed by all .
