Obituary of Joyce Strang

Joyce Strang, born on August 30, 1929, passed away on April 21, 2014 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Beloved wife of the late Fred Strang (2008). Loving mother to Fred & Heather Strang of Kinmount, John & Paulette Strang of Windsor and Joanne Strang of Mississauga. Grandmother to Jon, Nicole, Ken and David. Sister to Karen Hawrysh of Ottawa and the late Dorothy Coons of Nova Scotia.  Joyce will be sadly missed by her dear friend Bernie, and her friends at Kinmount United Church.  The environment was very important to Joyce.  She loved working in her garden and was very proud of her reforested woodlot in Kinmount.  She valued education, and worked hard over twelve years of night classes to receive her University Degree.  The family would like to thank the staff of Adelaide Place in Lindsay for their kind care over the past two years.  Family and friends will be received at Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at Monk Funeral Home on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m.  Interment Kinmount Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, World Vision or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence and donations may be placed at www.monkfuneralhome.com
