Obituary of John Wayne Mitchell

MITCHELL, John ‘Wayne’ Wayne Michell passed away on Saturday October 15, 2016, looking out over the fields and marshes of the cherished farm near Norwood that he shared with his wife, Joan. After a career with the Trent-Severn Waterway, Wayne was committed to seeing the world, enjoying their condo in Florida and doing the things that went with being a gentleman farmer. Wayne Mitchell in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Joan Mitchell, and former husband of the Late Susan Mitchell. Loving son of Georgina Mitchell (d. Jack). Remembered by his children Collin (Sonya), Christopher (Melissa), and Jennifer (Adam). Missed by grandchildren Cole, Mercedes, Jennika, Ryan, Maddison, and Nate. Loved by his sister Linda McLean (Jim), and his nephew Jimmy. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will take place at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES NORWOOD CHAPEL, on Sunday October 23, 2016 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
