Obituary of Pamela Elizabeth Thurston

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Pamela Thurston, née Gillion of Bobcaygeon. Pamela passed away at home on December 19, 2024 at the age of 63 with her beloved husband by her side. 

Loved and will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years, Fred Thurston, her children Richard Thurston (Hilary) and David Thurston and her two grandchildren, the lights of her life, Stella and Gage. Cherished daughter of Zetta Forsyth and Mervyn Gillion (predeceased). 

Pamela loved to spend her time surrounded by her beautiful perennial gardens. It was her sanctuary and her most beloved creation. She spent her years perfecting the most delicious bumble berry pie and canning what should have been prized winning beets. She enjoyed sipping on her morning coffee and watching her beloved birds. Nothing made her smile more, than when she got to see her birds year after year. But more than anything she loved her family. Pamela dedicated her entire life to her boys and her family was her life's work. Her selflessness over the years had such an impact on her many friends and family. We know that she will continue to lovingly watch over and guide her family through this difficult time.
