I have known Joy all of my life.
The Duffs were integral members of the Century Baptist Church in Toronto of which my father Rev.Alexander Hackson was the Minister.
We all grew up in the Church..Sunday School..Choir..Young People's.. and Basketball.
I left and attended university in Vancouver..then settled in Edmonton.
20 years later in 1998, I returned to Ontario and at a reunion arranged by Ed and Ann Martin reconnected with the Church group again.
After Doug's passing,Joy and I would keep in touch by phone and e mails.
When Joy moved to Caroline's, I would receive daily updates from Ruth Armstrong.
Joy was always such a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone she knew.
My deepest condolences to Caroline and Adam and all their family. They filled Joy with love, caring and always excitement in their very active and happy home.
