MCILMOYL, Lynne

 

Passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on September 8th, 2024. Lynne is predeceased by her parents Weldon and Doreen McIlmoyl. Lynne will be deeply missed by her siblings Donna (Peter), RuthAnne (Gary), Heather (Michael), David (Shelley) and is predeceased by siblings Iris and Ross. Lynne will always be remembered by her nieces Sydney, Bethany, Kathryn, nephews Russell, Ryan, her Uncle Bob and Aunt Faye along with her “personal nurse" Andrea and her surrogate siblings Wayne and Camilla.

 

Lynne was born in Apsley, Ontario, where she grew up surrounded by natural beauty and a close-knit family. Lynne spent a distinguished 30-year career as a vestibular technician at Sunnybrook Hospital. Her dedication to her profession and her compassionate care for her patients were evident to all who worked with her. Her expertise and gentle demeanor made her a trusted colleague and a source of comfort to those in her care.

 

Upon her retirement, Lynne found joy in her favorite pastimes: knitting and looking after her rescued cat Ginger. She poured her heart into creating beautiful and cozy pieces for her family, friends and strangers. Her works of art are treasured by many. Lynne’s generous nature is shown by her many contributions and work with charities and non-profits.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIED CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12th, 2024 at St. George The Martyr in Apsley, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM and a service to follow at 12:00 PM. A reception will be held at the Apsley Legion - Branch 381 following the interment.
