Obituary of Gary Arthur Brett
BRETT, GARY
With much sadness we announce the passing of Gary Brett at PRHC in Peterborough on August 28, 2024 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Janet (Matthies) for 61 years. Loving father of Robbin Weare (Dave MacLeod d.), and Roger Brett (Jacquelyn). Very much loved grandfather of Nicole, George and Gabriella, and great-grandfather of Grey. Gary is survived by his brothers Paul (Johana) of Toronto and Robert (Judy) of Calgary, and a sister-in-law Carol Burns of Kenora. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Alma, and a sister Gaye.
After retiring from Ford Motor Co. in St. Thomas where he worked for 30 years, he retired to his lakeside home in Ennismore, where he enjoyed fishing and baseball (Blue Jays). He also enjoyed travelling all over the world, and he especially enjoyed travelling to the Philippines to visit his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Progreso Mexico with many friends there.
