COLLINS: Ronald

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, on Tuesday August 27, 2024.  Ronald “Ron” William Henry Collins of Peterborough, at age 88.  Ron was a lover of nature and was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing and especially spending time at the shack. Ron enjoyed hobbies of woodworking and painting.  Beloved husband of 67 years, to June Collins (née Gordon).  Loving father of Peggy O’Connor (Paul), and Paul Collins (Blair Chiasson).  Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Erin Pettey (Jeff), Edward O’Connor (Chloe), Ellen Power (Mike), and Evan O’Connor (Fiona).  Great grandpa to Allison Pettey, Rose Power, Felix Power and Flora O’Connor.  Ron is survived by his brother Gary Collins (Janice) and sister Gail Small (d. Leroy). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, sisters in law, friends and neighbours.  Ron is predeceased by his parents Bill and Iva Collins. Arrangements entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES LAKEFIELD CHAPEL.
