Uncle Hack was a much loved member of the Toms family. I remember dancing on his feet in the hallway at the family farm when I was little. At any gathering, he would approach with a serious look on his face, but he would turn quite silly, quite quickly once he initiated conversation. He always had a funny story or witty comment to share. His sense of humour and his genuine care for others always left people feeling better for having interacted with him. My deepest sympathies to all of you. He will be missed.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Hack. He was a truly gentle and caring man, dearly loved by his family. I remember when we first met him; he was proudly showcasing his handmade metal ducks, each one adorned with a perfectly rounded rock that he meticulously selected. He challenged me to find one of those perfect rocks myself, promising to create a duck for me. Though I was on the hunt, Hack beat me to it and crafted ma a beautiful "one of a kind" duck, which now proudly resides in my home. It always sparks conversations with visitors, and every time I see it, I’m reminded of his kindness and generosity. Mark and I extend our sincere condolences to the entire Hamersma family.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family ,on the loss of your beloved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather and brother . I fondly remember Hage coming into Town's General Store when I worked there, and also seeing him at the Warsaw Hockey games. John had many long talks with him concerning the news of the day. Hage was such a pleasant and kind man and will be greatly missed.
