It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Everett (longtime member of LIUNA Local 183) on June 5th, 2024 in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Michele for 35 years.

Loving dad of Nancy (Steve).

Beloved brother of Betty, Tim, David, Dorine, Laurie and the late Kristine, George, and Lynn. Dear uncle of Christine, Palvashah, Najam, Jim, and the late Rudy. Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Andree (Henri). Will be sorely missed by his sidekick Jess ("the kid") Predeceased by his father Wilbert Fowler of Peterborough and mother Shirley Lord (nee Hobbins) of Emo, Ontario. Ev will be greatly missed by his extended family and the many friends of Baker Street and beyond.  He was always there to lend a hand with absolutely any project – he’d build you a garden cart from spare and salvaged parts, help you level your driveway using just a truck, or mow your lawn when you couldn’t.  His knowledge, caring, and genuine neighbourliness made him our go-to guy. He enjoyed his fur babies Goober, Smudge, Pumpkin, Callie, and Sassy and had the best tales about their kitty adventures.  His furry neighbours will miss his rubs and the treats he always kept in his pockets when wandering the neighbourhood. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and support. And a special thank you to Dr’s. Hughes, Parks and Mary Walsh along with Lisa and Maureen for their compassionate love. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – NORWOOD CHAPEL. Ev was cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place at the Norwood Legion on Saturday July 13th 2024, from 12pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Everett’s name can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Peterborough Humane Society by calling 705-639-5322 or by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com.
