Obituary of Theresa Cudmore
CUDMORE, Theresa Cloué (neé Desroches)
Passed away at Extendicare Lakefield Long Term Care Home in Lakefield, Ontario, peacefully at 97 on May 21st, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 16th, 1927 to Delvia Desjardins and Senat Desroches in Timmins, Ontario. She married Earl Cudmore on November 23rd 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, and they had 8 children. Theresa was mostly a stay-at-home wife and mother, working part-time at Smith Corona. She lived for her children. She had the patience of a saint and was always supportive and encouraging. She sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She had a quiet strength and always had a smile, even when times were tough. Theresa is survived by 6 of her 8 children: Dave (Nan), Linda (Dan), Don (Carol), Sharon (Bill), Al (Julie), and Gail (Mike); and her 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Earl, and daughters Marilyn and Cathy. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Extendicare Lakefield for the care and devotion they showed to her over the years she lived there, and especially for the additional loving care during her final days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday June 2nd, 2024 at The Hendren Funeral Home (66 Queen Street, Lakefield).
