Obituary of Flo Batten
BATTEN, Fleurette “Flo” Laurette Marie (Leonard)
Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday May 2nd, 2024 at the age of 89. Flo was the daughter of Paul and Albertine Leonard and was born in Kapuskasing Ontario. Cherished wife of 67 years to Murray. Loving mother of Jane Fitzpatrick (d. Glen) Paul, Bill and Robert (d). She will be deeply missed by her granddaughters Frances Batten and Alana Batten (Jayson Down). Flo is survived by her brother Bryan (Lorraine Leonard) and is predeceased by siblings Rene (Rita), Morel and Denise Leonard. Flo was the sister-in-law of Bill and Shirley Batten (d), Harvey (d), Beverly Batten, Eric (d) and Dorothy Batten.
Flo will be remembered by her feisty spirit and for entertaining, especially her bread! As well as her exquisite pieces of cross stitch, which will remain a tribute to her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mark Street United Church (90 Hunter Street East, Peterborough) on Saturday May 18th, 2024 at 11:00 AM where after a reception will be held till 2:00 PM. A private interment will take place at a later date.
