TAYLOR: Rita Dora
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the P.R.H.C. on Friday January 5, 2024. Rita Taylor of Curve Lake in her 81st year. Rita was the first driver for the Curve Lake Day Care children and worked at Whetung Ojibwa Centre for over 30 years. Her greatest love, however, was her family and Rita loved being able to gather with her family for celebrations throughout the year. Dear daughter of the late Dominique and Jacqueline Beaudry. She married the love of her life in 1962, the late Larry Taylor (2005). Dear mother of Laurie Hockaday (Dan), Doug Taylor (Bridget) and Christina Taylor, all of Curve Lake. Dear Granny of Brandy, Danny, Collin (Ally), Ivana, Cassandra (Fredy), Denell (Callista), Angel, Taylor, Doran and D.J. Dear Great Granny of Stanley, Kaleb and Caleya Ode. Survived by her sisters Madeleine Johnston (Garry) of Lindsay, Diane Beaudry (Tom) of Ridgetown, sisters-in-law Ruth-Ann Beaudry of Chatham, Vanessa Boudreault, Julia, Mary, Jane, and Gail Taylor and brother-in-law Keith Knott, all of Curve Lake, as well as, her many nieces, nephews and her very special friends Jocelyn and Jenny. Predeceased by her children Larry and Tammy, granddaughter Beth, brothers Jim (Pat), Jack (Marion), Roger, sisters-in-law Fritzie, Irma, Gertrude and Bubbles and brothers-in-law Donnie (Marion), Elwin, Kenny, Floyd (Annette), Ross, Leon (Barbara), Derrick Taylor and Rick Boudreault. Friends and relatives may call at the CURVE LAKE CHURCH, 862 Mississauga Street, Curve Lake, on Wednesday January 10, 2024 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday January 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment Curve Lake Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Curve Lake Community Centre.
