Obituary of Wilma Vivian Barker

BARKER, Wilma Vivian (nee Ashby)
Passed away peacefully at Marmora Crescent Care on December 30, 2023, in her 97th year. Beloved wife to the late Charles Edward Barker (Ed). Loving Mother to Anne Parks (Calvin), Elaine Chard (dec. Bill), Lynne Chamberlain (dec. Karl) and Kevin Barker (Wendy). Predeceased by sisters Eileen Boyd (George), Hilda Barton (Wilbert), Olga Simpson and Thelma Anderson (Randall). Wilma was a grandmother to eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two grandchildren Jim Milne and David Snow. Wilma was born and raised on Belmont Lake in Sawmill Bay, when she was married they bought her family home and eventually established a trailer park called Lakeside Camping. Later they purchased a farm on County Rd 48, and enjoyed the serenity of the farm for the rest of their lives.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – NORWOOD CHAPEL. As per the family’s request there will be no service taking place.
