Obituary of Ralph Douglas Sage

SAGE: Ralph Douglas

Passed away peacefully, surrounded and welcomed home to be with his loving wife Ann by his entire family at his side at the P.R.H.C., on Friday December 15, 2023.  Ralph Sage of Peterborough, formerly of Lakefield in his 89th year.  Ralph was a long-time employee of Founds Grocery and National Grocers in Peterborough.  He was also a dedicated member of Bridgenorth United Church.  In his spare time, Ralph loved to collect old western movies, model cars, model trains and spending time in his gardens.  He was an accomplished cake decorator and made all of the cakes for his family and friends special events.  Loving husband of the late Ann Florence Sage (d. 2011).  Lovingly remembered by his daughter Sherri Curry (Shane) of Peterborough and cherished grandfather of Kaitlin (Chris) of Cobourg, Emma (Anders) of Peterborough and Alyssa (Tyson) of Peterborough.   Survived by his sister Doreen Buckley of Newmarket and several nieces and nephews.  Ralph is also fondly remembered by his dear friends Bill and Jeanette Heeley, Shirley Robinson (the late don) Fran Curry (the late Bob) and Elymer Bullock (the late Rosemary).  Predeceased by his parents Orr and Dulcie Sage, brothers Arnold (Elaine), Orville (Edrie), Harold (Helen) and brother-in-law Dave Buckley. A Funeral service will be held at Bridgenorth United Church, 832 Charles Street, Bridgenorth on Friday December 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment Lakefield Cemetery.
