Obituary of Joyce Ethel Bourrie

BOURRIE: Joyce Ethel (nee Bland)

Passed away at Extendicare, Lakefield on Monday December 4, 2023.  Joyce Bourrie of Lakefield in her 90^thyear.  Joyce will be deeply missed by her children Linda McGuffin of Newcastle, Annette Bourrie and Steven Bourrie, both of Peterborough.  Loving grandmother of Cheryl McGuffin, John McGuffin (Robin), Brad Bourrie and Laura Bourrie and great grandmother of Lochlan and Finnick McGuffin.  Survived by her sisters-in-law Marie Reynolds (Gerry), Joan Gaensbauer and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband John Francis “Jack” (2003), parents Robert and Elsie Bland, sisters Jean Clement and Laura Bland, brothers-in-law Leo Bourrie (Vicki), Ray Bourrie, Herb Gaensbauer and sister-in-law Teresa Bolton (Harold “Chubb”).  Friends and relatives are invited for visitation at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Monday December 11, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  Interment Lakefield Cemetery.  A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
