Obituary of Debby Johnston

JOHNSTON: Debby Jean (nee Lefebvre)

Debby passed away peacefully at Victoria Manor Nursing Home, Lindsay, on Thursday November 30, 2023, after many years of medical complications and prolonged illnesses.  She enjoyed a successful career as a social worker, specializing as a crisis therapist at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.  She is loved and missed by her cherished husband Bob Johnston of Ennismore.  Also sadly missed by her sister Christine Lefebvre (Dean Waelz) of Ottawa, and sisters-in-law Steffanie Johnston of Kanata and Trina Mawer (Darryl Gerus) of Charbot Lake.  Remembered by several nieces and nephews and many loyal friends.  Predeceased by her parents Richard and Lois, brothers Richard and Stephen Lefebvre and brother-in-law Bill Tweedy.  Cremation has taken place.  A family graveside service will be held at a later date.  In memory of Debby, memorial donations may be made to the MS Society or Crohn’s and Colitis Canada as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.  The family wishes to thank the exceptional team at the PRHC, 5^th Floor and Victoria Manor Nursing Home for the care and compassion they displayed to Debby and her family.
