Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C., on Thursday October 26, 2023.  Marjorie Lyn Ridpath of Lakefield aged 79 years.  Marge was the owner/operator of Stoney Lake Hammocks in Lakefield for many years.  She had a passion for the outdoors and being in nature, having spent many years of her life at the family cottage on Smoke Lake in Algonquin Park.  She is loved and missed by her husband of 58 years, Drew Ridpath.  Loving mother of Christine Ridpath-Wood, Jody Ridpath and Jessica Ridpath, all of Lakefield.  Dear Grandy of Christopher and Andrew Wood, Owen Shuttleworth and Tian and Tavi Ridpath.  Survived by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents and sisters Coralee and Jean.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday November 2, 2023 from 11AM – 1PM.  A private family funeral service will follow.  In memory of Marge, please consider purchasing a teddy bear or stuffed animal and donating it to your local children’s hospital or toy drive. Friends may send condolences by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
