Passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Ajax. Thelma Harwood of Ajax, formerly of Lakefield in her 99th year. Loving wife of the late George Harwood (2007). Dear mother of Sharon Anderton (the late Brian), Valerie Bailey (John), Lynn Harwood and Audrey Harwood. Loving Nana of Stephen, Charlene (JF), John (LeeAnn), Tanya (Martyn), Janet (Dave), Jeffery (Krista), Sabrina, Jason (Jane), Kelly (Rob) and Jennifer. Dear Great Nana of Daniel, J.T, Elisabeth, Joshua, Paige, Nicholas, Noah, Sydney, Jayden, Jordyn, Mia, Ethan, Charlotte, Rachel and a Great Great Nana to Kaydence and Keegan. Predeceased by her sister Jean McArthur (John), her brother Reg and sister Ethel.
Throughout the last few years, our mom was fortunate to have received exceptional care and support from many individuals, including the dedicated Personal Support Workers - Joan, Lovelyn, Nira, and Nila. In addition, thank you to all of the staff of 2 North at Lakeridge Health Ajax, especially Camlin and Martin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A visitation will be held at the Hendren Funeral Home – Lakefield Chapel (66 Queen Street, Lakefield) on Friday August 25, 2023 from 10:30 AM till 11:30 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 AM. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship and refreshment in our lounge followed by an interment at Lakefield Cemetery after the reception.
