Obituary of Steward Scott Crawford

CRAWFORD: Steward Scott

Passed away at his home on Sunday August 6, 2023.  Steward Crawford of Lakefield in his 72^nd year.  Steward was the owner/operator of Crawford Auto and Marine in Lakefield for many years.  He loved his time spent at the ‘Super Test’ Hunt Camp and snowmobiling and boating.  He and Gail loved to travel and would head out in their RV to NASCAR races, Nashville or to local campgrounds.  His passion, however, was hockey and Steward played Minor Hockey, Junior and Oldtimers in Lakefield for many years.  He is loved and missed by his wife Gail, son Kyle Crawford of Bridgenorth and grandchildren Tanner and Alana.  Survived by his sister Elizabeth Jameson of Peterborough and brother Winston Crawford (Kim) of Ennismore.  Also remembered by many nieces and nephews and Gail’s siblings Lynn, Lee, Rick and their families.  Predeceased by his parents James and Ruth and brother Lyndon.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family funeral service will be held.  Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or 705-652-3355.
