Dearest Pete. Even though you have lived in Canada all of my life, I have many beautiful memories of time spent with you. Somehow you broke my heart and healed it too as I watched you with your arms around Carol as she sat on your knee and sobbed when Mum passed. At Helen’s 60th birthday party, amidst the music and dancing of the last tune, I have a vivid memory of looking around the circle and seeing you and Terry on seats, but giving the dance your full oomff. I could hear that big laugh of yours above everything.
A laugh we all know well. Hugh and I loved your joy at speeding around Tarn Hows (Lake District) on that motorised scooter. As Carol tried to keep up with you. We loved having you here. But my favourite memory is when you weren't even in the same country. Of course, it's sitting in my old bedroom in Belfast, watching Carol pack after a visit and asking her who was picking her up at the airport - who did she hope was picking her up? And she said you. Which of course you did with Robert and Claire. Between your wonderful wedding in Manchester and the amazing holiday you gave us a few years ago, there have been so many years of love and laughter. I hope you know how much you enriched my life and the joy we both found in just sitting chatting with you. So simple. Just as it should be.
I hope you know how much you were respected, admired and loved. Thank you for all the warmth and richness you brought to our family. Thank you for loving my wee big sis. Much love from Joan and Hugh. Donation made to Manchester United Foundation for their work with boys, girls and promoting inclusion in football.

Dear Carol, Robert, Claire and Dylan. Please accept our deepest condolences. Peter was a great neighbour on Englewood Court. His laugh was infectious. We have some great memories of all of us together celebrating many events but mostly NYE standing in a circle with hands crossed singing Auld Lang Syne. By the photos on FB it was obvious you loved traveling. You always looked so happy with your family and friends. Even though we haven't seen each other many years, we always sent each other Christmas cards. I will miss them. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. Rest in Peace Peter xo

Oh Peter, you have left us with broken hearts and a ton of wonderful memories. One of the best, was toasting in the New Year, with snow falling, a bonfire and your booming voice singing Auld Lang Syne and of course, your family and friends. Thank you Peter.
My deepest sympathies to Carol and your family

Our wonderful Uncle Peter, you will be so very missed. The most gentle giant, to us you were made of magic, full of stories and songs. It was an honour to love you and be loved on by you. So glad my girls spent time with you and got to love you too. You will always be with us, in the memories we share, in the little bits of magic everyday and in the second star to the right. Love you, miss you, always xx

Pete (ya Dosey Bleeder), was a great guy.
I had the pleasure of working with Pete for our years at the Bruce on the crane/small tools crew starting back in 1990.
He always had a sense of humour that would make you enjoy your day, even if that was a struggle. When things went bad, he would stick up for the little guy and try to smooth out the problem.
He was a pleasure to know and work with.
Rest in peace, big fella.
My condolences to all family and friends.
