Passed away peacefully at home on Monday July 31st, 2023, in his 59th year. Stephen ‘Relic’ Toms of Warsaw, loving father of Steve (Brett) and Chris (Lilyanne). Dear brother of Larry (Cheryl), Farley (Debbie), Judy (Hague) Hamersma, Debbie (Dick) Rogers, and Jim (Peggy). Predeceased by parents George and Minnie Frances Toms (nee Frisbee), by brother Garnet and Sister-in-law Wendy Herbert. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews will recollect his memory with warmth. Stephen was an avid hunter and loved being in nature. Stephen's heart belonged to nature. He was an avid hunter, valuing the serenity of the outdoors. His sanctuary was a tree stand – his happy place. In recent times, he captivated many with his storytelling, sharing his life experiences and hunting adventures. The echo of his laughter, memory of his stories, and the remnant of his love will forever remain to comfort those who knew him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. Respecting Stephen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Saturday August 26th, 2023 from 11:00AM till 12:00PM at the Hendren Funeral Home – Lakefield Chapel. A service is to follow at 12:00pm at our chapel. Following the service, the family invites everyone for a time of fellowship and refreshments back at Stephen’s home.
