Obituary of Glenn Douglas Knott

Glenn Knott passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Born to Cecil and Elsie Knott at Peterborough Civic Hospital on February 13, 1941. Glenn was raised in Curve Lake and attended Mud Lake Indian Day School, then onto Lakefield District High School. Glenn worked with Bell Canada at various locations, Millbrook Reformatory as Chef Assistant as well as Peterborough Civic Hospital, he also worked in construction on numerous job sites including the building of Trent University. He worked with Curve Lake Public Works for a number of years until 1986 when he started his school bus business “Glenn Knott Bus Lines”. Glenn married Ellen (Taylor) on June 3, 1960 and was able to celebrate their 63rd Wedding Anniversary. Loved and will forever be missed by his wife, Ellen (Taylor) his children Geoffrey (Theresa), Janine (Kenny), Heather (Lennie), Gordon (Janet) and Casey (Melissa). Puppa will be missed by his 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his brother Junior (Vivian), sister Rita (the late Carrol Rose). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Never to be forgotten by his “special sister-in-law” Susie Taylor and has gone to meet his “special brother-in-law” the Late Walter Taylor. Brother-in-law to J.C., Florence, Gayle, Kathy and the late Beatrice Pierson. Pre-deceased by his Parents Cecil and Elsie Knott. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at the Curve Lake Church on Friday June 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Visitation two hours prior to the service. Inurnment, Curve Lake Cemetery.
