Ed and I have wonderful memories of outings to Swiss Chalet and then on to the the 4th Line Theatre to enjoy local plays with Cyril and Joan, Keith and Una and The Paiges. We were very sad to hear of Cyril's passing. He was a kind, gentle, generous and humourous person. Your door was always open and we were made very welcome. I never pour maple syrup on my pancakes or french toast without thinking of Cyril. His was the best.
Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the services as Bill has had a stroke and his mobility is very limited.

At a time like this we tend to reflect on the fond memories that we have of our loved one. For us it was watching Cyril go by the house on the tractor and his big wave and smile. Working on the farm brought so much joy to his life. Also making sure that we got to school on time (good weather and bad) when he drove the school bus. We knew that we had to behave or we would hear about it when we got home. The memory of Uncle Cyril that I will remember the most is when I heard him say the alphabet backwards for the first time. I can still hear the rhyme in my head that he would sing.
