Retired elementary school teacher Edith (Edie) Mamie Cain Warren’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Edie passed away on April 10th, 2023 at the age of 86 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honour her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Edie was a lifelong learner. She obtained a diploma from North Bay Teacher’s College and continued to take university courses while working and raising her family, and throughout her teaching career. She obtained the level of Bronze Life Master in Bridge and Grade 8 Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She was a world traveller, square dancer and an avid chronicler of her family’s history. However, in her mind, her greatest achievement is her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter Melanie, and is survived by son Duane and daughter Laurie; six grandchildren: Meagan, Paige, Cody, Tara, Kristen and Maia and five great grandchildren: Mitch, Emmitt, Hayden, Hazel and Axell. She will be missed by her family and friends as well as her partner Johnny and their dog Aspen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – MONK CHAPEL. As per the family’s request, there will be no funeral service. Edie asks that friends and family remember her in a way that brings forth memories of good times shared together.
