Obituary of Eleanor Kerr

Eleanor passed away peacefully at Empress Gardens in Peterborough on March 2, 2023.
Eleanor was pre-deceased by her husband Gordon. She will be dearly missed by her children
Richard (Pat), Carolyn (David) and Jim (Gabrielle), and by her grandchildren Carolyn (John),
Sunny (Anna), Gordon, Roseann (Sven), Alison, Crystal, Devon, Gregory, Nicole and Christopher.
Eleanor was also great-grandmother for Matthew, Benjamin, Simon, Nora, Lily and Ruby. The
family would like to offer a special thank you to the enriched-care staff at Empress Gardens, the
Regency of Lakefield and Community Care in Apsley. From a very young age, Eleanor spent her
summers at the family's Chandos Lake cottage, where she loved to canoe and swim. After many
years of playing tennis, she took up golf and played well into her 90s. She sang in the choir and
was active in the community of St John’s in Lakefield. She was an avid bridge player with her
many friends in Lakefield and Apsley. Her youthful, energetic, feisty spirit was noticeable
throughout her life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A
celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on our
