Dear Eric and Family: It was with sorrow I heard of Lynette's passing last week. The guest house, or cottage, as Lynette referred to it was always filled with warmth and hospitality. My late husband, Wayne and I, have known the "Browns" for 14 years and I mean we "knew" them. Eric, you and Lynette really have been more than Neighbours. You have been dear friends. When Harry would visit, he would scurry over to see "Mr. and Mrs. Brown," for a chat and Eric you both always made time for him. When my late husband Wayne was so ill, you both were there for support and prayer. I will miss Lynette terribly - our tea parties, impromptu sing alongs and conversations. Lynette's spirit will always remain in the little cottage she loved.

Sometimes I thought an angel in disguise amongst us, Lynette was a gem of a person that displayed true examples of the beatitudes we read in scripture. Along with the kindest and gentle soul that Eric is, they magnetized to us the first day we decided to attend Omemee Baptist church and felt like we were part of a family we only just met! A lifetime memory we'll traesure. I can picture a standing ovation as she walks up with her light-up-a-room sunny smile, to meet her Savior.

Dear Eric and family, Nothing I can say will ease your pain but I'm sorry for your losing someone so special. I didn't know Lynette very well or for very long. We were introduced through wonderful mutual friends. Lynette & I were like 2 ships passing in the morning, usually around 10:30 - 10:45, every other week for a few hours. I'd arrive and she and Eric would be on their way to an appointment or just an outing so that I could leave my sparkle of clean as she would call it, for their return.. We'd have a brief conversation at the door as she'd leave a request of something she'd liked done that day..she would say, "just do your thing".
In those short times we had to chat, I got to know & feel that Lynette's positive energy was easily felt by others in her loving, kindness, compassionate, giving, witty, and funny ways.
You will be missed dearly Lynette.
My sincere condolences to Eric and their families. xo

I didn't know Lynette well--only through our interactions at Heritage--however, I can't help but smile whenever I think of her. She had such a heart for the kids and their learning and she introduced me to some excellent resources that I now use regularly in my classroom and beyond. I especially recall with fondness the times she prayed for me. What a blessing she was to all of us! I am so sorry for your loss.

A wonderful woman with a passion to serve others and the Lord! We got to know Lynette first as a grandmother to children attending Heritage Christian School in Lindsay. Then helping her out by playing music for church services that Lynette planned and led at Bobcaygeon senior care and retirement homes became a real blessing to us as she let her heart and skills shine. Sincere sympathy to Eric and the entire family. May God's tenderness be felt in a special way through these days of tender heartedness.

Just read Lynette’s tribute. I had the honour to serve on the Food Bank Board with this lovely lady. She would open our meetings with the most wonderful prayers. I wish I had spent more time with her chatting. She has what sounds like a wonderful family which does not surprise me. Remembering all of you in my thoughts and prayers with kind thoughts and sincere sympathy.
