Obituary of Shirley Irene Dunford

DUNFORD: Shirley Irene (Graham)
Passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s at Fleming on January 17, 2023. Shirley Dunford of Selwyn in her
95 th year. Shirley was an active member of George Street United Church UCW and the Eastern Star. She
was a dedicated, long-time volunteer at the Peterborough Foot Clinic and enjoyed numerous outings
with Charlie on antique car tours and events. She lived with great care in mind for those she loved and
always had words of wisdom which her family will dearly miss. Beloved wife of late Charles Bruce
“Charlie” Dunford (2020) for 67 years. Loving mother of Greg (Patti) and Reg (Lynn), both of
Peterborough. Grandma is lovingly remembered by Virginia (Brad), Andrew (Rachel), Lindsay and Carley
(Sang). Also, great grandmother to Isla and Wilson. Predeceased by her sister Jean Millage (Ralph) and
her brother Garnet Graham (Barb). A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES,
LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on February 1, 2023 at 12:30 PM. Visitation an hour and a half prior to service.
Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A Reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Special
thanks to the staff at St Joseph’s at Fleming for their care and compassion for Mom the last few years.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society as
