Obituary of Doreen Elizabeth Johnson

Passed away at her home in Peterborough on November 8, 2022. Doreen was born in Madawaska on March 6, 1934.

Sister to Arnold (Irene), Earl (Lorraine), Evelyn (Terry), Eileen (Frank), Gary, Joan (Don), Murney (Karen), Don (Mary), Ralph, and Harvey. Sister-in-law to Carol Simpson. Mother to Randy (Lynda), Wendy (Al), Wanda, Gwen, Leon, Terry (Liz), and Rodney. Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Doreen will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and her companion Nick, her cockatiel.

Predeceased by her husband Roger, her parents Wesley and Mary Jessup, her siblings Arnold, Earl, Eileen, Joan, Ralph, and Harvey, sister-in-law Lorraine, and brothers-in-law Terry and Frank.

A visitation will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES- Lakefield Chapel, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Rotary Club would be greatly appreciated by Doreen’s family.
