Hyde, Emma “Wavey”

Wavey passed away peacefully, Thursday October 20, 2022 at the home of her daughter Mary at the wonderful age of 95.  

Beloved wife of the late Edmund “Eddie” (deceased 2006) for 55 years. She is survived by daughter Mary Grandy (Jim deceased 2020), step-grandchildren Glenn (Maya) and Sheila (David). Wavey will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and her many dear friends near and far. 

Born in Barr’d Islands, Fogo, Nfld, Wavey was the youngest of 9 children. From Barr’d Islands to Toronto to Fenelon Falls, Wavey enjoyed life to the fullest. She touched many lives and always had a warm smile to everyone she met.  She was fortunate to live in her own home and in good health for 95 years.  

Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, if desired memorial donations can be made to St. James Anglican Church, 19 Bond Street East, Fenelon Falls.
