JoAnn and I want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time I first met John in 1962 when I joined the Brantford Det. Family of officers. I recall John as a caring helpful officer going out of his way to educate this novice officer. Remember the good times Irene.

John Bannan was one of my favourite NCOs when I served with the OPP. His leadership style, his wonderful sense of humour, and his willingness to provide advice to younger officers without being "preachy" were, in my mind, the top priorities for being a cop shop boss. I will never forget John, even though our paths have not crossed in more than 20 years. What a wonderful, long life John lived. He will be missed ... a lot.

JoAnn and I are truly sad to hear of John's passing. John and I first met at Brantford Det when I joined the force in Dec 1962 when I reported to the Det as 13th officer at the Det. . I remember him well even after all this time. We were all family back in that day. Rest in piece John.
