A man of high principles and integrity, Wayne lived his life with dignity and pride. I came to know Wayne about 20 years ago when I started teaching Communications at Fleming College in Peterborough. Wayne, Melanie, Kathleen and I were office mates sharing our teaching material and helping one another cope in times of stress. Our friendship remained strong even after retirement and it was customary for us to get together on special birthdays. The annual summer get together at the Greenley's beautiful home was something we always looked forward to. Being a perfectionist, Wayne excelled in his teaching, going that extra mile for his students. We saw his skill of creating stained glass masterpieces when he presented a custom-made stained glass lamp shade to my daughter on her wedding day. It was a gift of love made by Wayne, for my daughter from Melanie, Kathleen and him. Wayne's work schedule was so well organized that he could fit in a myriad of activities into a day. The man could never sit still! Wayne was always well groomed. It was fun to guess what kind of tie he would be sporting each day. In fact, even the students would comment on his array of ties! Wayne would smile and say: “All credit goes to Do!” We will miss Wayne very much. To Do, Michael, Christine and Anet as well as all his grandchildren I would say, “Wayne poured out his love on all of you and that love will remain strong in your hearts. Wayne accomplished what was entrusted to him by God. He ran his race well with gentleness and fortitude. God has now rewarded him by giving him his rest. We are thankful to God for Wayne's life.
