Obituary of Theresa Lisa Wright

Passed away at her home in Apsley, Ontario on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the age of 65. Theresa will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 47 years, Wayne Wright and her children, Samantha Aungier (Darren) and Steven Wright (Rochelle Maxwell). Proud Grandma of her Boo, aka Fionn, Gideon, Lincoln, Meghan, and Matthew.

Theresa will be remembered by her many siblings, their families, as well as, her brother-in-law, Mike, sister-in-law, Donna and extended family and friends. 

Theresa was committed to helping those around her, whether through the local Community Care, St John’s Ambulance Therapy dog program with her sidekick, Froggy, fostering with LAWS, or just on her own. She was always connecting with people, especially those who needed an ear or shoulder to lean on. Theresa was a crafter and many angels she created still sit upon Christmas trees of those who loved them. Some people where especially lucky to receive one of her brooch bouquets for their weddings. Theresa was talented, creative and full of genuine care and concern for others. 

A special thank you to her brother Leo and sister-in-law Linda Legacy, Tess and Jeff Darby, as well as Tara Lynn for all their support, kindness, and love they showed Theresa and her family. We would also like to thank the VON nurses, especially Tracy, for the care they gave Theresa over the last few months. 

As per Theresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held once restrictions are lifted. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS).
