Obituary of Terrence Arnold Haig
HAIG: Terrence Arnold “Terry”
Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Tuesday June 22, 2021. Terry drove overhead crane at General Electric for over 30 years. He enjoyed farming chickens as his parents and in-laws had done and spending time at the hunt camp with his hunting buddies. When he was younger he played old timers hockey in Buckhorn and over the years he enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends. He loved to travel to warm destinations and he and Ev loved the winters they were able to spend in Arizona. Recently, Terry and Ev moved into Peterborough as his health declined, but he will always be remembered for the teasing he loved to give his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved and missed by his wife Evelyn Haig. Also missed by his daughters Shelley Parcells (Ron) of Warsaw, Susan Garrett (Dave) of Lakefield, Jane Boyle (Jason) of Newmarket and daughter-in-law Debbie Haig of Douro-Dummer. Survived by his step-children Evan, Cheryl, Bob, Frank, Patti, John and Tracey. Dear grandfather of Maggie, Ron Jr., Kelly, Corey, Julie, Adam, Tristan, Zach, Ethan, Brooke, Gerry Jr., Hunter and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Wilma Redden (d. 2001), son Gerald Haig and grandson Reggie Parcells. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
