Passed away at home in Bobcaygeon on Saturday March 20, 2021, in his 89^th year.  Born in Tory Hill to Gordon and Ethel McCrea.  Predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen McCrea (nee Lee).  Survived by his wife Susan Stratford and brother Floyd McCrea.  Dear father to David (Karen), Jane Gymrek (Rick) and Jonathan. Grandfather to Ashley, Tyler, Michelle and Angela.  Great grandfather to Nolan and Hudson.  Predeceased by his sister Betty Barr.  Retired from General Motors after 25 years of service, he farmed in Bobcaygeon to age 65 then enjoyed his last years on Pigeon Lake.  He was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed running his hounds and beagles and later raising roller pigeons.  A private family interment will be held at Verulam Cemetery, Bobcaygeon.  Memorial donations may be made to Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-738-3222.
