When we were new to Norwood, Leona made us feel like old friends. We met her through Norwood United Church and later came to know her better through our association with Community Care. When Betty made her reassurance calls from CC, Leona usually had something baking and had checked the weather right across the country. When John visited her for service on her PDA, they always had a chat and discussed happenings in town, the weather and the crosswords which we both still do every day. During storytelling at Millbrook Community Care, Betty met Grant Tripp, one of Leona's cousins, and he always sent back his regards and occasionally a photo of times past. Leona always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye, and a wonderful memory. We will miss her very much, and send our condolences to all of her family.

Sending our love and deepest sympathy to Barry, Terry and families in the loss of your amazing Mother.
Leona was my Mom's much loved cousin. I remember our family visits back and forth as children. She was
always so welcoming and my parents and Leona and Dick shared many laughs. Jack and I were honoured to
have Leona attend our 50th Anniversary in 2012. Thank you Barry for navigating that crowd. She was a beautiful
soul. We enjoyed watching the service and lovely video today. Thankful for the Amazing technology, especially now.

Our condolences Barry, Terry and families. Your mom/grandma will be missed by many people from all over.
My fondest memory of Mrs P. was her teasing us as we tried to choose what mini-pop to get from the cooler! She was an exceptional person. She had a great sense of humour and was always great to chat with any time we saw her when we visited Norwood.

Mrs. Patterson gave me my first job at her restaurant. She had hired Carolyn but she couldn't go so I went instead! Wow, in her 106th year was amazing and still living in the retirement home! I love the saying "Mother's hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever!" Your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Try to remember all the happy times you had. There were a lot of pictures in your video to prove that. Take Care! Linda, Craig, Amanda, Christopher and Melissa Merchant
