Obituary of William R. Metcalfe

At Ross Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, Bill Metcalfe of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Stratford, at the age of 84. Bill was born in South Easthope Township, Ontario to the late William Bartholomew and Clara Jean Metcalfe. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1942-1945. Bill married June (née Lee) on July 30, 1949. He is survived by his daughter Beverley Steele, her husband Crawford and son Derek; his daughter Chris MacNeil, her children Mark, Meghan, Lindsay and Kelly; and his son Will, his wife Ruth and children Leanna and William. Family and friends will be received at Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial Service at Knox Presbyterian Church on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. Private family interment at Verulam Cemetery prior to the Memorial Service.
