Lots of love and hugs to the family! So many fav childhood memories from that house! Papa Harry had the best gardens - our class even went on a "field trip" to see them (much to Nicolette's disappointment - we only had a few field trips a year - the last thing she wanted was to visit her own house!). What a great life he had - always surrounded by a HUGE family of kids and grandkids and even great grandkids, and did so much for the community of Bobcaygeon.
Our thoughts are with you! Love, Michele, Ken, Jade, Drake and Tai
PS: Who's gonna call me Suzie now?

Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Your Dad was a very respected man and was the true meaning of " It takes a village to raise a child". There are so many memories, from walking by his garage everyday to go to school, where he would always make sure to say hello, to just knowing that he was looking out for our safety. He will be missed.

I will always remember Harry as an icon for Bobcaygeon. There are so many wonderful memories I have of Harry from his garage days, collections of old tools, and his gardening skills. Many times I have shared the story of when Harry ran for Council and mentioned in his campaign speech that he only spent 10 cents on his campaign and that was to buy a pencil. RIP Harry

To all of Harry's family.
We're saddened to learn of Harry's passing. Many memories of visiting his garden, his workshop and wonderful collections. Riding his bike into town long after most people would ever consider doing such a thing. We have Harry's book about Bobcaygeon to help us remember all that he gave to the village. His picture in this notice is how we like to remember him. We ask for God's blessing on his family during this time of grief.

I had the privilege of cataloging Mr. Van Oudenarens collection in 2018 it was the most interesting and eye-opening time of my life, Harry was the google before google. We spent many mornings together discussing his collection and why he collected. As someone who feels history is important I felt I had learned more on those mornings than he knew he was teaching me. Harry saved more history of Bobcaygeon than we know, we can only appreciate and respect the time he dedicated to the preservation and capture of our history.

To Harry's family: On behalf of my mother Marguerite and myself I wish to convey our very deepest sympathies on the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. Although young I remember your Dad moving to town and then later recall my sister Marjorie and I taking over some of Mr Kuzmin's glads to welcome your parents to the neighbourhood. May loving memories help you through this difficult time and Gods presence bring you peace. While unable to come north for the service I will be remembering you in prayer. Sincerely Carolyn Adams Coplen
