Dr. Liversage meant so much to so many of us (his academic family) and shaped our careers and our lives in innumerable ways. I will not only remember the wonderful years I spent in the lab, but the numerous conversations that we had over the past 30 years. Dr. Liversage was a true gentleman, a wonderful scholar and an incredible mentor. He always knew when to provide his students with guidance and when to give them their independence. I learned how to mentor my own students by following his excellent example. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Liversage, and to John, Robert, James and Ross and their families.

I have fond memories of working in the Liversage lab from 1966 to 1973. Dr. Liversage was a wonderful scientist and mentor and my experience with him as a graduate student prepared me well for a career in academia (University of Guelph, Zoology Department 1974 to 2004). I remember him for his thoughtful and unassuming leadership during my formative years. My sincere condolences to all three generations of the Liversage family.

Remembering a scholar, a mentor and a true gentleman. Professor Liversage influenced so many graduate students and colleagues, treating us as his academic family. I am grateful for that influence in helping me to find my own professional path.
I extend my sincere condolences to the Liversage family- know he was highly respected and is fondly remembered.
