Dear Tante Jane and family,
Condolence with te lost of a great man, your husband, father and our uncle. I can't remember him well. You moved to Canada too long ago for that. In the photos I see a great resemblance to our father, his younger brother Harry. The love for farming, but also making fun with (grand)children are wonderful characteristics that are very recognizable.
We wish you a lot of strength with the loss and hope for the beautiful time still together as a family.
Kind regards, Lia & Bart van Bleek - van den Broek, Ronald and Koen from The Hague, Holland (daughter of uncle Harry & aunt Adri)

Dear tante Sjaan and family,
My sincere condolences to you all with the loss of ome Mart. I hope he has found a peaceful place to rest now.
Ome Mart has a special place in my heart ever since I stayed over (at the age of 22) in 1989 and helped out with chores at the house and in the church. In 2005 I translated his beautiful story of your emigration to Canada into Dutch and I visited again in 2010 and 2011. I enjoyed listening to ome Mart's stories and his curiosity to life. I remember him for his open spirit, warm character and his special smile.
I wish you comfort and strength with this loss.

Jennie, John and your entire family. I am so sorry to hear of the death of your father. When you spoke of the farm Jennie, your face always lit up, clearly a testament to a man who will now live in all of your hearts. May the memories bring that face to light forever more for each of you.
