Sincere sympathy to James and family on the loss of your father Tom Byrne. What a beautiful obituary and video of a life well lived from his early days in Ireland to the present time in Canada. He was a true hard working Irish farmer, yet with that twinkle in his eye and a love of music and dancing. We met Tom a few times in Brockville at our ceilis which he really enjoyed. Tom would be proud that he has passed on that love for Ireland to James and Sara and his grandchildren Evelyn, Robert and Freddy and of course that special sense of Irish humour that James is known for. May he rest in peace, he was a lovely man.

My sincere condolence to the family and relations of Tom Byrne. I had known Tom since he first came to school where I was a pupil
back in the 1940's (I'm a few years his senior) Both he and his brother John were jolly fun loving boys. Although I haven't seen him
for many year I regret not having met him when we both lived in Toronto.
Tom came from a family of hard working men and it is no surprise that he had much success in his new adopted country.
Once again I offer you all my sincere sympathy. May the Good Lord grant him a special place in his Kingdom.

This a terrific memory that you have shared about my father. It sounds like the boy you knew kept the same fantastic character that I knew in him as a Father and many saw in him as a man. I don't know how you happened to hear of Dad's passing but you have written a beautiful letter that brought me some joy on the day of his funeral mass. God Bless
