Obituary of Joyce Lorraine Sutherland

Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday September 6, 2019. Joyce Sutherland of Douro-Dummer, formerly of Hamilton in her 85thyear. Joyce was a longtime employee of Hoover Vacuum in Hamilton & Burlington for over 40 years. Loving wife of the late Ted Sutherland Sr. (2018). She will be remembered by her son Ted “Sudsy Jr.” Sutherland (Sylvie) of Calgary and her daughter Dawn Sutherland of Douro-Dummer. Missed by her grandchildren Michael Van ek (Linda), Arthur Sutherland (Kat), Danny Sutherland (Stephanie), step-grandchildren Jason and Shane (Alicia) and great grandchildren Vanessa, Carter, Evan, Daniel, Sol and Teagan. Survived by her brother William “Bill” Turner (Sandy) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Mark, her brother Norman J. Turner (Betty) and sisters Dorothy Douglas (William) and Thelma Watson (Bertram). She will also be missed by her really close friends that are just like family and by the family dog Misty. Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service at Lakefield Cemetery on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception in the Heritage Room of THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield.
