I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Stanley. She was one of the nicest ladies I ever met in my entire life. Even if she was mad, although rarely and usually at one of her dogs when she was, she couldn't help but smile. She always said her Sonny and I were such "nice boys" regardless of what we did. I remember when "the Boys" played at her 80th birthday party. She was so surprised and so excited she didn't even care if she spoke to any guests. She just wanted to hear her boys play their music again. I knew her for over 40 years and still would never think of referring to her as anything except Mrs. Stanley. A true lady in every sense of the word. If there is a Heaven, Mrs. Stanley is surely there now and telling the keepers of the gate that Roger and Jamey are nice boys and deserve a place there too someday.
