Obituary of Frank Poole

At Ross Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Frank Poole, 80 years of age, was a life long resident of Bobcaygeon. Loving husband for 54 years of Joyce Poole (nee Thompson). Father of Gary (Debbie), David (Monica), and Chris. Grandfather of Carly, Jay, Craig, Taylor, Logan, Jenna and Mariah. Brother of Evelyn (Don), Ross (Louise), and Ruth (Charles). Predeceased by Bruce. Frank was a member of Bobcaygeon Municipal Council for 19 years serving as councillor, Reeve and Warden for Victoria County. He was the Past President of the Bobcaygeon Kinsmen Club. He loved fishing with friends and spending time with his family. Frank was an entrepreneur in Bobcaygeon for the past sixty years, joining Buckeye Enterprises in 1957. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their caring and compassionate manner. A special thank you to Dr Al Kassem, Dr Chandra and Dr Katakkar, and especially to the staff in Palliative Care. Family and friends will be received at Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen St., Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222) on Monday, July 7 from 2-4, 7-9. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 42 William St., Bobcaygeon.
