Obituary of Sarah Jones

 With great sadness her family announces her peaceful passing on June 23rd in her 89th year with her loving family at her side.  Regina was the darling wife of Gordon – the love of his life - for 65 wonderful years.  She will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Brian and wife Vilma, Glenn and wife Jeanette, Judy and husband Bill, Lynn and husband David, Ken and wife Andrea.  She was the very proud and devoted grandmother of Christopher, Kerri, Devon, Kimberley, James, Alexis, Travis, Jason and Lisa, and delighted in recently becoming a great-grandmother to Brynley and Tia.  Regina was predeceased by her mother Florence, and dear brothers Desmond and Harold.  She was a loving aunt to Harold’s daughters Shirley and Marilyn.  She leaves behind a legacy of a loving family and a lifetime of wonderful memories.  Her family wishes to thank Dr. Snarr, Community Care and all the ParaMed staff whose gentle hands helped Regina through the last months of her life.  Thanks also to Regina and Gordon’s friends in Victoria Place and Christ Church for their support and prayers.  The Jones family will welcome visitors at Monk Funeral Services Ltd., 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and at Christ Church Anglican on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence, donations, memories and photos may be placed at www.monkfuneralhome.com
