I am so sorry to hear about Hans' passing. I had the privilege of attending The Baptist Leadership Training School with Hans and of hosting Hans when he came to our church in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to speak many years ago. He was a true man of God and I am sure that he is so excited to be home with his Lord. I pray that this fact gives you, as a family comfort as you mourn your loss of your husband and father.

Dear Graciela and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Hans. While we have had little contact for many years, I treasure many good memories from our year as roommates at BLTS in Calgary - 40 years ago! I was also one of the passengers in the car on a road trip with Hans from Ontario back to Calgary after Christmas that year. It was quite an adventure! I will remember him as a gentle man with a deep faith, a ready laugh, and a warm smile from behind a bushy beard. May you all know God's comfort as you grieve this loss, and may you find peace in stories from those of us who, like you, knew him and loved him.

So sorry to hear of this sudden passing but so happy to have know Hans and Graciela.
He was visiting us little less than a year ago here in Regina.
His humor and a life filled with adventure and commitment to those in need made his life full.
One of the. Birches was called” Ven A Ver” he now is seeing that Jesus who inspired and guided his life.
May You boys also follow in your own way the example that your your father left behind.
We so appreciated talking to Samuel on the phone and really thankful for this gesture , to let us know about the death of Hans

Hans was a blessing for me and the whole family. We each feel sadness for his passing, but we have joy and peace from our Lord that Hans is with Him celebrating the eternal life that Christ has promised each of us.
I give thanks to the Lord for the time that he gave us with Hans here on Earth. We learned so much from him, but the best was how he showed us how to love God as Hand did for his whole life.

It is with sadness that I received the news of Hans passing. But it is also a feeling of joy knowing he has completed his life journey and as a true disciple of Christ, that he finished it well. I will always hold dear the time Hans spent at St. Clair Avenue Baptist Church. Many lives were changed through his ministry. I cherish his visits throughout the years when he brought updates on his mission ministry and the twinkle in his eyes as he snuck in a bit of humor during his presentations. These are precious memories. As I hold on to them I also hold close Gabriela, Samuel, and David, who was always in his conversations. My condolences to you and the family, May you find strength and comfort from the God who was a forever presence throughout Han’s life journey.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Hans. I first meet Hans through BLTS a bible school in Calgary in 1977. I would see his name pop up in correspondence through Canadian Baptist Ministries from time to time over the years. He was a servant of God.

My dear Graciela, I was saddened to read of your precious Hans' death. Your family has been in my prayers so often over the years since you spent time with us here on Prince Edward Island. I know his death will be a great loss to you, Daniel and Samuel, but we who believe in Jesus rest in the assurance that to die is Hans' gain.
