Obituary of Selma Moodie

Moodie, Selma (nee. Langjordet)(Nelson) “Sally”

Born on January 21, 1918 in Sauda, Norway to Hans and Anna (Hanson) Langjordet (Nelson). Selma passed into the presence of the Lord on April 18th, 2018 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Selma was predeceased by her beloved daughter Mary Ann Hare, her granddaughter Paisley Mary Ann Moodie and her loving husband of 76 years Jack (John F.) Moodie as well as her younger brother Robert Nelson. Selma is survived and missed by her son John C. Moodie, nephew Gord Nelson and grandchildren Amanda Fouts (Chris), David Moodie (Emily), Kris Moodie (Natalie), Shawn Moodie (Jaymie), Chris Hare (Susie) and Jonathon Hare (Krista).

A Celebration of Life will take place on May 19, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00PM with a Salvation Army service to take place at 1:30PM at The Hendren Funeral Homes, Monk Chapel, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army Peterborough or The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in Selma's memory are greatly appreciated.
