I just heard from a Peterborough friend Ken had passed. I am saddened. We were colleagues on the Trent Severn Waterway and way back in 1974 passed one another on the road as I drove from Peterborough to our Kirkfield office and he from Beaverton to the Lakefield office. We had both been promoted that year. We had many adventures after that, especially with SCUBA diving. He was a first-rate instructor with great patience. We ended up working together in the central area in 1979. Ice flow races were just one of many activities the Aquaducks took part in. I still have my club jacket from the 70's and still wear it occasionally.
I finally got to visit his hometown in Australia in 2013.
My condolences to Lee and her family. I wish I wasn't so far away or I'd be there in a heartbeat.

I had the pleasure of meeting Aussie on several occasions while on my frequent visits to my best friends home Beverly and Peter Krystowsky whom were Aussie's neighbors and friends in Lakefield, Ontario for many years. We were very sorry to learn of the loss of Ken "Aussie". Our thoughts and prayers go out for Lee and family. He was always such a lively, animated, and funny guy. Lee and Family,
We are thinking of you all at this sad time. Aussie was such a wonderful guy. We enjoyed his company very much...whether it was a chat when he was out cruising in his MG..a bike ride with the "Lakefield Bike Gang" or a meetup at Foodland.
