MaryAnn and family,
At times like this my words seem empty. It is impossible to convey the sadness I feel for all of you, each with your special bond to your mother/grandmother. MaryAnn, to you, I must say this. You have always been the kind of daughter every mother wishes she had. Your lifelong dedication, carried on by your daughters as they grew, keeping your mother actively involved in your life and your children's lives gave your mother so much purpose each and every day. I believe she is resting in peace and the loving bond you share with each other will always be her legacy. My deepest condolences to you and to all of the Curtis family, and your extended family and loved ones.

It was always so special to visit the cottage and see Margaret. She would always be so happy to see us visiting. It was always a pleasure to spend time with Margaret and she was always so welcoming letting us stay with her at the cottage. I will never forget the memories forged at the cottage with her and the family. You will be missed.

I first met Margaret charging down to Collingwood with a U-haul in tow all by herself. A strong lady that I learned has raised an equally strong daughter. Margaret welcomed me into her home even though I was yet another GM’er and motorbiker. I admired her smarts, calm demeanor and laid back temperament and she will be missed.

We were sad to hear the news. We will always remember her gentle smile of welcome when we descended on her at the cottage and we would spend the afternoon under the trees enjoying the sound of the water and admiring the birds. We are so happy that she was able to spend her final days amid the surroundings she loved so much.

When one hears the name Margaret Curtis, the image that immediately comes to mind is what a caring, and loving mother and grandmother she was. My fondest memories of her were at her chalet in Collingwood and her beautiful home in Bobcaygeon. She always had a story to share and a smile and a laugh to give. She will be missed. With loving thoughts from the MacPherson family. Rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. The last three years with you, MaryAnn bringing me up to your families cottage visiting your Mom was very special. To see this lady living at her cottage and saying this is where she is meant to be. Her wish came through. I loved how she enjoyed me joking with her and always got a smile. She always appreciated a great meal and company. More memories will be made at the cottage and a special angel will be watching and smiling.
Lots of Love
Jackie

I was so sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. Your Mom was such a special lady. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with Margaret and the whole family at the chalet and the cottage. We shared many dinners and celebrations. She was much loved, and she will be greatly missed.
You were an amazing daughter. Your dedication and love allowed her to live in her own home on her own terms even when things got tough. Your visits and those of the girls and family were always happy times. I'm sure the extra time you were able to spend with her this summer meant a great deal to her.
I'm glad I got in to see her for a visit last week and had some quality time with you. If you need anything I'm here. Sending you all lots of love and hugs to help you through this sad time. ❤️
Lots and lots of love,
Leanne

Mom,
I am glad we became so much closer over the last 20+ years of your life. Your love and unconditional support meant the world to me. I am glad we had many, many years together of shared family activities. Your love and support with Brooke and Lauren was also much appreciated. I also feel very fortunate that we have even more time together over the last year and this summer in particular. Your legacy of the cottage will live on in our memories. Every time we have a tea party there we will be thinking of you. Thank you for all the great memories that you were a part of. Love you always <3

Margaret, since the age of five, you have been like a second mom to me. The countless sleepovers at your home and cottage bring many fond memories. Your love, support and guidance over the years has been immeasurable. You will truly be missed by everyone whose life you have touched. We celebrate your life with smiles and a warm heart as we say good-bye. You will always be remembered with love.

Margaret has been a big part of my life for the last 25 years. She was always kind and welcoming to me, my husband, our dogs and most recently our daughter.
She was an amazing lady with quite an interesting life story. My favourite memories of her are up at the cottage asking her endless questions about her life. She was always willing to answer, and did not hold back from telling anyone the truth.
I admired Margaret for her intelligence, wit, love of animals and kindness.
I am so grateful she was able to meet my daughter, and that it brought the biggest smiles to her face.
I miss her deeply.
May she rest in peace ❤️

She was a very loving and caring grandmother to me and my sister. I will always have the great memories up at the cottage and having relaxing weekends laying by the beach, and having afternoon tea and going out for dinner dates. May you rest in peace in heaven and I will always love you. Xoxoxo
